From an Escape to Success

Three links that lead to a great deal of insight

I’ve taken a liking to Pamela Slim’s “Escape from Cubicle Nation” partially because she talks about a process for career liberation that I have been living for the past five years.

In September, she pointed out a free teleclass by Srikumar Rao in her blog “Don’t miss this free teleclass…” – and it looked interesting. Of course, having missed the teleclass, I was disappointed; but all was not lost.

You see, Leading News sponsored the teleclass, and decided to post the audio of that seminar for anyone that missed it! Pamela pointed that out, and I followed her link to the Leading News archive that contains the recording of “Creating your Own Success”.

How to go from corporate prisoner to thriving entrepreneur

Pamela writes under this tagline with an intended audience of those looking to get out of corporate life. If you’ve ever daydreamed of quitting your “job” and hanging up a shingle and starting your own business – this is one author you should follow.

Look through her archives – including the open letters – and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Once you decide that you want to follow her work, you can get an email or RSS feed to stay on top of it.

Srikumar Rao

Srikumar has a great intro on his site including this comment – “each day that you are not radiantly alive and brimming with cheer is a day wasted.” Isn’t that a great thought?

He teaches on creativity, personal success, motivation, and inspiration. I’ve made a mental note to get a chance to look at his recent book “Are you Ready to Succeed?”

The audio teleclass was interesting and enjoyable. Listen to it – just because Pamela and I say so;-)

Leading News

Any organization that can bring me into contact with Srikumar Rao is worth checking out, and I’ve found a couple of interesting items on their general web site http://leadingnews.org. I’m looking forward to seeing their ezine as it periodically comes across my inbox.

Living the “Give First” life

I found this line in Srikumar’s audio very interesting:

“You help people and when you need help it may come from some totally miraculous unknown and unexpected source. That’s the way the universe operates.”

What can you give away today?
